Are you ready for NMBI OSCE and need someone to hold you by hand or tutor you?
In order to work as a nurse in the Republic of Ireland you must be on the register of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). If you trained outside the Republic of Ireland, the first consideration is to apply to the NMBI for a recognition of qualifications, which involves comparison of your qualifications with the Irish education standards and requirements.
One of the possible outcomes of overseas application for recognition of qualifications is compensation measures required. One of this is the RCSI FNM Aptitude Test for Overseas Nurses.

Disclaimer Notice:
- This Preparatory course is not affiliated with the RCSI and the NMBI as the RCSI does not endorse or approve any training or preparation course for the test.
- RCSI does not recommend specific reading. Multiple sources might be considered including your notes and textbooks from your own training but be sure to use the most up-to-date research-based sources.
- In addition to your revision, please find a compilation of a wide range of resources as you peruse this course that is based on the NMBI standards and requirements, my own personal experience after passing through the NMBI Aptitude Test route for overseas nurses in Ireland successfully and from the experiences of others.
- It is important to remember that the Aptitude Test examines your potential suitability for registration as general nurse with the NMBI and not just the suitability to work in one specific environment (for example where you may have an offer of a job).
- This preparatory course was compiled due to incessant requests from my platform (African Nurses to Ireland) and is not applicable to those scheduled by their prospective employers to undergo a period of Adaptation in Ireland.
